STAFF

VICKI EDWARDS. BA(Hons)

Vicki
is the Centre's owner and Early Years Professional and has worked at the playgroup since 1995. She is currently the Nursery Manager. Vicki has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Children, Schools and Families and is qualified to BTEC standard in nursery nursing and has attended many short courses in child care. She is a qualified first aider and has a Foundation Degree in the Integrated Education and Care of Children and Young People.
Vicki has also been awarded the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) which is a professional accreditation endorsed by the government for graduate practitioners who have demonstrated a set of professional standards.
MARIE JAMES

Marie has worked at the playgroup since 2013 and is the Trainee Manager. She has an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development and is currently studying towards her leadership and management level 3 qualification. Marie is a qualified first aider.

SAM HASTON

Sam has worked at one of our other nurseries since 2003 and has a level 3 Diploma in Childcare. Sam is one of the nurseries deputy managers. Sam has attended many short courses in child care.
BECKY TURNER

Becky
has worked at the playgroup since 2010 and is a Team Leader. She has an NVQ level 3 in Child Care.

KATHY O'NEIL

Kathy has worked at the playgroup since November 2013. She has an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development

CAROLINE DIXON

Caroline has a Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, as well as attendance on many short courses in child care. She has worked at the setting since September 2014. Caroline is a qualified first aider.

HEATHER CHURCH

Heather is an unqualified nursery practitioner who is currently studying to gain her first early years childcare qualification.  She is a qualified first aider.

KATH WOODHOUSE

Kath is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and works at all four of our nurseries. Kath has a BA (Honours) in Geography, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and a Post Graduate Diploma as a Teacher in the Deaf. She worked as a special needs advisory and support teacher in North Lancashire for 23 years, in high schools, primary schools, pre-schools and with babies in their homes. During this time she gained experience in working with children with a wide range of special needs and her work included cooperative working with a wide range of professionals, including those in health and social care.
